Blonde Girl with a Rose 1915 - 1917; Pierre-Auguste Renoir
Oil on canvas
Musée de l'Orangerie
Towards the end of his life, Renoir painted this portrait of Andrée-Madeleine Heuschling. She was Renoir's last model and eventually married his second son, Jean, and starred in a number of Jean's films, including Nana. The portrait depicts the model's feminine youth with soft shades of red, pink and yellow, and whose beauty was symbolised by the roses in full bloom.; IMGP2741.JPG; PENTAX K-1 Mark II; f/4.5; 1/30; 800; ©ROY_GRUBB [5667]
