The life and humanity captured ‘in the moment’ in many of these is captivating. The first group of life-size, bronze statues were in the streets of Shamian and a park there. One, the naughty boy lighting firecrackers, was on a Guangzhou street. The small ceramic sculptures are 20 – 30cm high. They appeared in an exhibition in the Chen Clan Ancestral Hall and the final two statues were in the grounds of that Hall.
