Artist Simon Fujiwara invented a cartoon bear, named Who the Bær, who features in many of his recent works. Fujiwara uses the character to reinterpret iconic works from art history. Here, Fujiwara creates his own version of Picasso's Guitar (1912), also made of cardboard and string, adding Who's long, yellow, dribbling tongue. The guitar was one of Picasso's favourite subjects. It has a simple yet elegant shape that some say resembles a woman's body. The sound hole, which offers a glimpse into the instrument's interior, inspired Picasso to experiment with how 3D space can be depicted on a flat canvas.; IMGP2844.JPG; PENTAX K-1 Mark II; f/4.0; 1/100; 3200; ©ROY_GRUBB [5849]
